Farmers Door structures and reviews evidence within the scope of each programme. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Farmers Door is not providing accredited certification or independent assurance.
Farmers Door structures information supplied by producers and participating supply-chain businesses, records where each item came from and when, and makes approved information available to the parties agreed for a programme.
Farmers Door is not an accredited certification body and does not issue certificates. Where an assessment is performed by Farmers Door, it is described as our own assessment. Where an independent reviewer is involved, that reviewer and the scope of their work are named.
Self-recorded information, information drawn from another system, information reviewed by Farmers Door and information independently assured are different things, and are not presented as though they were the same. Any public claim should identify its source, its scope, the date it was issued and its approval status.
Where a participating product carries a Farmers Door Passport QR code, scanning it displays the approved provenance, traceability and production evidence linked to that product. Scanning shows you the evidence and its status. It does not, by itself, independently verify every underlying claim.
Use of the term “Verified Commodity Pool” does not mean that every producer, commodity, claim or record has been independently certified. Evidence is labelled according to its source, date, review status and applicable assurance level. Independent assurance is described only where it is formally in place and applies to the stated scope.
